On a desolate plane, a lone figure stood high above while he stared down at the mortal kingdoms and reflected on his past.
Around him, lightning continued to fall as thunder shook the heavens.
Within his shadow death slept and waited for a new victim to play with.
This being watched the world and with his gaze, the lands beneath him were filled with a warm light that healed whatever it touched.
After some time passed the man stopped reminiscing about the past and turned to leave, he had things that had to be done for even now his fight was not over.
However, before he left he walked up to a giant stone that stood erect in the empty field.
“This should do nicely,” whispered the being.
With a single finger, the man released some lightning from his index finger and pointed it at the stone. After a moment he shook his head in satisfaction and without warning disappeared, all that was left to testify that the man was ever there was a stone engraved with words filled with power.
Not long after the man departed from the field a group of adventurers passed by. One young mage sensed traces of magic that lingered around the solitary stone.
Curious he drew closer to the monument and noticed words etched into the stone.
“This world is my domain. I am he that calls forth lightning and destruction will bow before me. My breath is that of light with it life is born. Though as I travel I command the darkness and with it death will follow in my shadow. Remember me friends for I have saved you from the sorrow, remember me you sinners for I am your demon who will haunt you. Though I will depart from this world for a time remember me for I will return. So let all hear my name and remember that I am the Trinity Mage!”
Beneath the words a picture was etched it was a trinity symbol with lightning in the top loop, the sun in the bottom left while the two moons and stars filled up the bottom right.
For generations to pass this monument would be known as the Trinity Mage’s Proclamation!
